Introduction

A touching drama about a Mexican boy who tries to save his pet bull from death at the hands of a celebrated matador, written by Robert Rich, a pseudonym for Dalton Trumbo. Although the film won the Oscar for Best Writing, because of the situation, no one showed up on stage to receive the award. This episode reflects the industry's atmosphere at the time during the anti-communism movement.

Director	Irving Rapper Irving Rapper is one of the greatest directors from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Born in London in 1898, he immigrated to the United States. After graduating from New York University, he moved to Hollywood and was hired by Warner Bros., then made a directorial debut in 1941. Rhapsody in Blue (1945), and The Glass Menagerie (1950) are the most popular masterpieces directed by Rapper.

* The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Ordiance for Healthy Youth Development prohibits individuals under age of 18 from being at theaters from 23:00 to 4:00. This also applies when these individuals are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

* Screenings at TIFF are not eligible for Cinemileage (TOHO CINEMAS mileage).

* TIFF tickets are not eligible for parking services at any of the venues.
