Introduction

This film explores the private experience of prayer and faith in daily life, in a style that is intensely intimate, yet sweeping in scope. A vast international collaboration, the film was shot by over 40 distinguished filmmaking teams around the world who never met or spoke with each other, each contributing a single, private scene, collectively creating a memorable gallery of personal portraits and panoramic spectacle. A coproduction between WLIW LLC in association with WNET, New York's public television station, and Japan's WOWOW.

Director	Thomas Lennon Thomas Lennon is a documentary director whose work explores the themes of society and history. His work has been nominated three times for the Academy Award, winning in 2007 for The Blood of Yingzhou District. He has also won all major USA television awards including two Peabodys, Emmys and duPont-Columbia University Awards. Other notable films include "The Battle Over Citizen Kane" and "Seven Days in Bensonhurst".

* Purchase of Opening/Closing/Special Screenings/Tokyo Grand Prix Winner Screening+Award Ceremony tickets are limited to 2 tickets per person. The other screenings are limited to 4 tickets per person.

* The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Ordiance for Healthy Youth Development prohibits individuals under age of 18 from being at theaters from 23:00 to 4:00. This also applies when these individuals are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

* Screenings at TIFF are not eligible for Cinemileage (TOHO CINEMAS mileage).

* TIFF tickets are not eligible for parking services at any of the venues.
