Introduction

Somewhere in Bucharest, three days after the attack on Charlie Hebdo in Paris and forty days after his father’s death, 40-year-old doctor Lary spends one Saturday at a family gathering in memory of the deceased. The event does not go as planned. Discussions are heated, fierce differences of opinion arise. Forced to face his fears and his past, and obliged to reconsider his place in the family, Lary is left with no choice but to tell the truth...

Director	Cristi Puiu Cristi Puiu was born in Bucharest in 1967. In 2001, his first feature film Stuff and Dough was in competition in the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival. He won the Golden Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2004 for Cigarettes and Coffee and then shot The Death of Mr. Lazarescu, which took the Un Certain Regard prize at Cannes in 2010.

* Purchase of Opening/Closing/Special Screenings/Tokyo Grand Prix Winner Screening+Award Ceremony tickets are limited to 2 tickets per person. The other screenings are limited to 4 tickets per person.

* The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Ordiance for Healthy Youth Development prohibits individuals under age of 18 from being at theaters from 23:00 to 4:00. This also applies when these individuals are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

* Screenings at TIFF are not eligible for Cinemileage (TOHO CINEMAS mileage).

* TIFF tickets are not eligible for parking services at any of the venues.
