Introduction

Since the arrival of the new teacher, Mária Drazdechová, to a Bratislava suburban school in the year 1983, life has been turned upside down for students and parents. The teacher’s corrupt behavior and one student's suicide attempt makes the school Principal summon the students’ parents for an urgent meeting that will surely put the future of all the families at stake.

Director	Jan Hřebejk Born in Prague (June 27, 1967), Jan Hřebejk graduated in script editing and screenwriting at FAMU, where he gained recognition with his student films. He got started making feature films with screenwriter Petr Jarchovský, directing Big Beat, Cosy Dens, and Divided We Fall (Oscar nominee, 2000).

* Screenings at TIFF are not eligible for Cinemileage (TOHO CINEMAS mileage).

* TIFF tickets are not eligible for parking services at any of the venues.
