Introduction

Diamond Island is a symbol of Cambodia's future, a sprawling, ultra-modern paradise for the rich on the river in Phnom Penh. Like many other country boys, Bora, 18, is lured from his village to work on the construction of this property developers' dream. There, he forges new friendships and is even reunited with his charismatic older brother Solei, who disappeared five years before. Solei introduces Bora to the exciting world of Cambodia's privileged urban youth, with its girls, its nightlife and its illusions.

Director	Davy Chou Born in Fontenay-aux-Roses, France in 1983, Davy Chou is a Cambodian-French filmmaker. His first feature-length film Golden Slumbers (2011), a documentary about the birth of Cambodian cinema in the 1960s, and its subsequent destruction by the Khmer Rouge, was selected at the Busan International Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival, as well as more than 40 other international festivals.

* Purchase of Opening/Closing/Special Screenings/Tokyo Grand Prix Winner Screening+Award Ceremony tickets are limited to 2 tickets per person. The other screenings are limited to 4 tickets per person.

* The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Ordiance for Healthy Youth Development prohibits individuals under age of 18 from being at theaters from 23:00 to 4:00. This also applies when these individuals are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

* Screenings at TIFF are not eligible for Cinemileage (TOHO CINEMAS mileage).

* TIFF tickets are not eligible for parking services at any of the venues.
