Introduction

A man meets a woman who calls herself Jellyfish. Although strangers to each other, they plan to die together. Jellyfish wants to have the best day before she dies and he suggests a special method for a peaceful death - by drawing blood. The longest day begins for this man, Simon Williams. Shunji Iwai's care and attention is prevalent from screenplay, direction, music, cinematography, and editing.

Director	Shunji Iwai Born in 1963, Shunji Iwai began his directing career in 1988 with commercials, music videos, and TV dramas. His cinematic style and vision came to be known as the “Iwai Aesthetic”. In 1995, he scored a huge hit across Asia with Love Letter. Other major works include Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom? (Uchiage Hanabi, Shita kara Miruka? Yoko kara Miruka?) (1993), Swallowtail Butterfly (1996), April Story (Shigatsu Monogatari) (1998), All About Lily Chou-Chou (2001), Hana and Alice (2004), Vampire (2012), and The Case of Hana & Alice (2015). His latest work is A Bride for Rip Van Winkle (2016).

* The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Ordiance for Healthy Youth Development prohibits individuals under age of 18 from being at theaters from 23:00 to 4:00. This also applies when these individuals are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
