Introduction

Ali can’t forget his younger sister, but her adopted parents won’t allow them to meet. After he comes up with a plan to get her back, things quickly spiral out of control. This visually stunning, mystical tale of survival was directed by Reha Erdem.

By committing a crime, Ali and Zuhal take their first step out of the orphanage into the big world. It becomes impossible for them to live among people now, and the forest they take shelter in becomes a desert island for them. A boy and a girl who are cast out of the civilized world will live the entire human story from the beginning.

Director	Reha Erdem Born in Istanbul in 1961, Reha Erdem graduated from the Cinema Department of Paris 8 University. He shot his first feature-length film Oh, Moon! in 1989 as a French-Turkish co-production. He shot A Run for Money in 1999, Mommy, I’m Scared in 2004, Times and Winds in 2006, My Only Sunshine in 2008, Kosmos in 2009, Jin in 2011, and Singing Women in 2012.

* The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Ordiance for Healthy Youth Development prohibits individuals under age of 18 from being at theaters from 23:00 to 4:00. This also applies when these individuals are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

* Screenings at TIFF are not eligible for Cinemileage (TOHO CINEMAS mileage).

* TIFF tickets are not eligible for parking services at any of the venues.
