Introduction

Nanami loses her job due to a lack of confidence. She marries a man she met online, but the marriage ends when she is falsely accused of infidelity. Jack-of-all-trades, Amuro saves her by introducing her to peculiar jobs and individuals. Nanami eventually befriends free-spirited Mashiro and ends up living with her. The film stars Haru Kuroki who won the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival.

Director	Shunji Iwai Born in 1963, Shunji Iwai began his directing career in 1988 with commercials, music videos, and TV dramas. His cinematic style and vision came to be known as the “Iwai Aesthetic”. In 1995, he scored a huge hit across Asia with Love Letter. Other major works include Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom? (Uchiage Hanabi, Shita kara Miruka? Yoko kara Miruka?) (1993), Swallowtail Butterfly (1996), April Story (Shigatsu Monogatari) (1998), All About Lily Chou-Chou (2001), Hana and Alice (2004), Vampire (2012), and The Case of Hana & Alice (2015). His latest work is A Bride for Rip Van Winkle (2016).
