Introduction

When 14-year-old Jennifer claims to have been raped by her classmate, people are convinced that she is lying. Evidence and decisions of court mean nothing to people who lay down their own rules and laws.

A small Swedish community which seems idyllic on the surface. But when 14-year-old Jennifer claims to have been raped by classmate Alexander, everything changes. The rumor rapidly spreads throughout the community, and more and more people are convinced that Jennifer is lying. This is the beginning of a stirred up lynch chase in which an entire village turns against a young girl and her family.

Director	Beata Gårdeler Born in Sweden in 1973, Gårdeler made her feature film debut in 2009 with In Your Veins. Her work for television includes the award winning series "30 Degrees in February". Her short film Solitude won the Novella Film Award at the Gothenburg Film Festival in 2014.

* The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Ordiance for Healthy Youth Development prohibits individuals under age of 18 from being at theaters from 23:00 to 4:00. This also applies when these individuals are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

* Screenings at TIFF are not eligible for Cinemileage (TOHO CINEMAS mileage).

* TIFF tickets are not eligible for parking services at any of the venues.
