Introduction
Stephen Frears, Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant team up for the first time on Florence Foster Jenkins, an inspirational, poignant, heart-warming comedy about love, music, and the pursuit of dreams. Based on a true story. A legendary heiress and socialite Florence pursues her passion to sing opera despite the fact that her vocal cords are clearly not built for the job. Her devoted husband and manager, St. Clair Bayfield, manages to protect Florence from the truth, but when she decides to give her first public concert at New York’s Carnegie Hall, St. Clair realizes he has perhaps bitten off more than he can chew.
