Introduction

Tsuneko Sasamoto and Takeji Muno are 101-year-old journalists. Sasamoto writes about accomplished people both famous and unknown. Her photographs have always reflected ever-changing times, vividly depicting women during and after WWII. Muno, an extraordinary journalist, resigned from his newspaper job on the day Japan lost the war, out of remorse for writing pro-war articles. He left Tokyo for his hometown and founded "Taimatsu (Torch)" to keep his journalism alive. At 101 Sasamoto claims her life is ongoing. Muno says he’s at the pinnacle of his life. We have a lot to learn from their optimism.

Director	Atsunori Kawamura Kawamura explores the intellectual frontier, ranging from art and modern history to spirituality. As an NHK producer/director he set a new standard in Japanese documentary making with works such as "The Silk Road" and "The Tibetan Book of the Dead". His first feature film Drops of Heaven was a critical and commercial success. A Tokyo University alumnus with a law degree.

* The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Ordiance for Healthy Youth Development prohibits individuals under age of 18 from being at theaters from 23:00 to 4:00. This also applies when these individuals are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

* Screenings at TIFF are not eligible for Cinemileage (TOHO CINEMAS mileage).

* TIFF tickets are not eligible for parking services at any of the venues.
